The Yard....

The yard is finally finished!! So what started out as getting an estimate to have some sod put down turned into a major project. Sod turned into expanding the yard, which turned into moving the playground and shed, which turned into adding some landscaping around the house, which turned into getting a simple patio, which turned into a gorgeous patio with a sitting wall, which turned into about 3 weeks worth of craziness! Let us just say we did our part to stimulate the economy! Here are the pictures of the yard; before, during and the finished project. One day we will have a welcome to our new backyard party, but in the meantime enjoy the pictures of my new oasis.I had to start off with my gorgeous patio. It is exactly what I wanted, enough space for a table and chair set for me to relax and watch the kids play and yet still plenty of room for the boys to ride their trucks and big wheels on.
Before the patio, so gross!

Before the fence was moved over to clear the remainder of our land.

More nasty no grass yard.

URGHHH!

During the renovation. From the swing set on was all newly cleared, so we gained 5 fence posts of yard (about 25 feet.)
The boys checking out one of the many tractors that were in our backyard for many, many days. They thought it was pretty cool (although notice they are in their jammies!)

AJ and Cooper taking full advantage of the piles of dirt while the land was graded.

Another great day in the dirt. I have such BOYS!!!

During the placing of the new patio. This is a good picture of how the design looks.

The patio goes right up to the edge of the deck. The landscaper did such a good job of leveling that it looks the deck and the patio were build together.

The finished project. Lots of green, green grass. I joke that it is such a long walk now to push the boys on their swings!

The shed side was only about 2 fence sections (about 15 feet.)

Notice the boys toys already taking over the patio.

My new flower beds.

More flower beds.

My lavender Crepe Myrtle, that Tony swears will bloom from June to September. Hope to take a picture when it happens!.

More flowerbeds.

This is hard to see but the flowebeds go around the side of the house with a nice walkway from the front gate.

I love it! That yard looks fabulous, and I'm sure y'all will spend lots of time out enjoying it.

We planted a crype mertle in our backyard, and it is already starting to bloom...it's a pinkish-purple color and so pretty!
