What we have been doing....

Sorry I haven't posted in a while we have been taking in the nice weather and the longer hours of daylight. Cooper officially graduated from speech a couple of weeks ago, so we are happy to be done but sad to see our teacher will no longer be visiting us. AJ only has 2 more days of school left, he keeps telling me that he is done with school! Scarey that it is only pre-school and this is what I have to look forward to. T-ball is going good, he is getting much better, although he still runs to get the ball no matter where it goes! We had Aunt Tiffany and Uncle Eric come to visit last weekend and it was a very exciting weekend because Aunt Tiffany got engaged on our front porch!!! For those of you who don't know, Aunt Tiffany first saw Uncle Eric on our front porch after a couple of months of chatting on the phone and online(basically it is a much more interesting story than that but it sums it up.) So we are very excited about adding Uncle Eric to the family. So CONGRATS to Aunt Tiff and Uncle Eric!!! I am off this week to have a much needed stay-cation with the boys and await the arrival of Nana and Papa later in the week. Stay tuned I am sure we will have more pictures and updates to post. AJ and Cooper enjoying their see-saw.
AJ and Barron.

Barron trying to climb up with AJ.

Barron and DaVinci.

AJ and Cooper building my swing that they bought me for Mother's Day.

Hard at work to get the swing done before I got home.

Cooper and his best friend, "Palo" (her name is Halo.) He loved her because she didn't knowck him over.

AJ eating his s'more.

Cooper roasting his "smarshsmello" with Uncle Eric. Notice Cooper doesn't have any shorts on, Aunt Tiffany calls him, "Cooper the pantless wonder!"
AJ and daddy getting the "perfect marshmello."

Cooper and his finished product that ended up on his hands, knees and eventually his mouth.

Getting cleaned up after a fun night.

The Yard....

The yard is finally finished!! So what started out as getting an estimate to have some sod put down turned into a major project. Sod turned into expanding the yard, which turned into moving the playground and shed, which turned into adding some landscaping around the house, which turned into getting a simple patio, which turned into a gorgeous patio with a sitting wall, which turned into about 3 weeks worth of craziness! Let us just say we did our part to stimulate the economy! Here are the pictures of the yard; before, during and the finished project. One day we will have a welcome to our new backyard party, but in the meantime enjoy the pictures of my new oasis.I had to start off with my gorgeous patio. It is exactly what I wanted, enough space for a table and chair set for me to relax and watch the kids play and yet still plenty of room for the boys to ride their trucks and big wheels on.
Before the patio, so gross!

Before the fence was moved over to clear the remainder of our land.

More nasty no grass yard.

URGHHH!

During the renovation. From the swing set on was all newly cleared, so we gained 5 fence posts of yard (about 25 feet.)
The boys checking out one of the many tractors that were in our backyard for many, many days. They thought it was pretty cool (although notice they are in their jammies!)

AJ and Cooper taking full advantage of the piles of dirt while the land was graded.

Another great day in the dirt. I have such BOYS!!!

During the placing of the new patio. This is a good picture of how the design looks.

The patio goes right up to the edge of the deck. The landscaper did such a good job of leveling that it looks the deck and the patio were build together.

The finished project. Lots of green, green grass. I joke that it is such a long walk now to push the boys on their swings!

The shed side was only about 2 fence sections (about 15 feet.)

Notice the boys toys already taking over the patio.

My new flower beds.

More flower beds.

My lavender Crepe Myrtle, that Tony swears will bloom from June to September. Hope to take a picture when it happens!.

More flowerbeds.

This is hard to see but the flowebeds go around the side of the house with a nice walkway from the front gate.
