Monday, October 27

Got up with a fever, gave him some Motrin, played a little with AJ, took AJ to school and then went to our appt. After he played in the waiting area, I thought to myself, great he is fine there goes another $20 copayment down the drain! As soon as we were put in the room, I felt him getting warm again and all he wanted to do was cuddle with me. When the doctor walked in she remarked how he must be sick cause normally he is climbing the walls in there! She hadn't even done anything yet but from just looking at his rapid breathing (which he hadn't been doing the day before) she said, "I think he may have a touch of pnemonia." Of course I though she was wrong because I am very familiar with breathing problems from AJ. So she listened to him and sure enough there is a reason I work at a credit union and not a hospital, pnemonia in his lower right lung. So off for a chest x-ray we go and once again it is verified that is what he has. We started antibiotics immediately and the doctor called to give me some more information but she said it wasn't that bad so the antibiotics should be all he needed.
So I opted to have a slumber party in my bed because Tony was working and I wanted to keep my eye on Cooper throughout the night. Slumber is an understatement, the only one who slept was AJ! Cooper and I were all night because he was breathing very fast and grunting all night.
