First the cons:
- AJ is such a good "sick" kid. A couple of weekends ago, I noticed that AJ was having low grade fevers all weekend, but it was so nice outside that he wouldn't have it and ignore them and kept on playing. His eyes started getting goopey gross looking, like pink eye gross looking. So Monday I took him to the doctor and not pink eye but an ear infection! Once again I am the worst at diagnosing my kids! So a prescription of antibiotics and some eye drops and off we go. But as luck would have it, AJ ends up with a big cough, which we are still fighting with.
- Later that night I feel my eyes getting goopey. I wake up in the middle of the night to pink eye in both my eyes! Oh but it gets better for me....by Thursday I finally go to the doctor and I have a sinus infection, so antibiotics for me as well. Wait it keeps getting better, by Sunday I end up with an ear infection and yet another antibiotic. An ear infection, what am I 4 years old!
- By Wednesday, Cooper gets the goopey eyes! Lucky for me, his only lasted a day. A nasty nose and an annoying cough, but nothing to go to the doctor about.
- Cooper learned how to open his gate on his bedroom door, so sleep as I know it is over! He has walked into my room several times over the past few nights wanting to "sleep" with me. Yeah right "sleep" he just thinks it is morning time and wants to play even if it is 1am!!
The pros:
- Tony never got pink eye. JERK!! Just kidding, he is worse than the kids when he is sick, so this was definitely good.
- Since I was off all week with sick boys, I decided this would be a good time to start potty training Cooper. Cooper has been trying to potty train himself over the past several months but only at the most inconvenient times. You know when you are out and the bathroom is on the other side of the world, or when your nice hot dinner was just placed in front of you. Since I officially started putting him in underwear he is doing well, but as with everything with him it must be on his terms not mine. (Wonder who he gets that from!)
- Tony and I finally made the decision to sign Cooper up for preschool next year. He will be in the same class that AJ is in currently. Good for him but sad for me because it is one more thing that means my baby is growing up.
- We hired a landscaper to redo our backyard. We are getting a huge patio, some pretty new landscaping around the house and deck, having the remainder of our yard cleared and the fence moved over to accomodate it and sodding everything. I am really excited and hoping the dogs don't destroy it right away. I will post before and after pictures when it is done, look for those in the next couple of weeks.
- We had a much needed playdate with our buds Drake, Grayson, Caleb and Thatcher. Yes you counted corrected adding my 2 that was 6 BOYS all under the age of 5!!! Needless to say our friend Bonny's house was completely destroyed when we left, but it was tons of fun and Bonny made us yummy cookies. She knows the key to my heart.
So there you go, lots of stuff going on in our lives. I will post pictures when I take some, since we have been sick there was no reason to take pictures.
