A star is born...

A couple of weeks ago Chut and DaVinci had a very "uplifting" experience together. DaVinci was very excited to be at Chut's house and he was racing to get in the back yard when he knocked Chut flat on her back on the hard, cold driveway. Don't worry Chut is fine, a couple of bruised ribs and some embarrasement, but all and all, fine. The boys unfortunately saw the whole thing and as upset as they were, thought it was pretty cool to see an ambulance and firetruck (hence Chut's embarrasement.) Cooper has very strong memories of the accident and every day since the accident this is his conversation with Chut(sometimes twice on the phone):

Cooper: "Chut you fall down?"
Chut: "Yes Cooper."
Cooper: "Chut, bad dogs?"
Chut: "No, Cooper it was an accident."
Cooper: "Chut you ride in ambulance?"
Chut: "Yes Cooper."
Cooper: "Chut you go to hospital?"
Chut: "Yes Cooper."
Cooper: "Chut you okay?"
Chut: "Yes Cooper."
Cooper: "Oh."

Pretty good for a kid who a couple of months ago could barely say a one syllable word without being asked to repeat it huh!

The day after everything happen I came downstairs to find Cooper putting on a re-enactment of the accident! This boy cracks me up sometimes, hope you enjoy the show as much as we did.

Cooper, "I FALL DOWN!"

Cooper, "I cold, I need another blanket!" (when Chut was on the ground it was about 15 degrees outside)

Cooper, "I need ambulance! I need to go hospital!"

Cooper in the ambulance going to the hospital.
That concludes our show, hope you enjoyed!

Let it snow, let it snow, let it snow!!

We had our first real snow this week and the boys loved it. Thankfully it snowed enough that I got to leave work early and enjoy some of the weather with the boys. AJ has been praying for snow for a couple of weeks now and was so excited to wake up to a "snow day" on Tuesday. The boys got to enjoy the first part of the day with Aunt Lissa and Cousin B at their house where they helped shovel and got to play outside for hours. Then when we got to our house the shovel excitement was over and they just wanted to play. So they played while I shoveled(so I am not going to lie I used a snowblower,) we had snowball fights (Cooper lost) and went for a winter walk to enjoy the beautiful snow covered neighborhood. All in all it was a great day. As much as I have complained about the cold, blustery days that we have had lately this part of the Maryland winter makes it all worth it. (Melissa in Texas you don't know what you are missing the girls would love this!) Since Mommy forgot to buy a sled AJ just figured running and sliding down the driveway was just as fun.

Preparing for another run down the driveway.

Cooper carefully watching, but not ready to try just quite yet.

AJ making a snow angel.

Cooper stepping on AJ's snow angel!

He was cold but having too much fun to stop.

Going on a winter walk.

Even the dogs loved the snow!

Like Father Like Son!

Happy New Year everyone! I have gotten yelled at because I am not up to date with my blog so here are a few pictures for you to enjoy. AJ has really gotten into imagination play and one of his favorite things to play is police officer. Chut bought the boys police officer dress-up stuff and they have been having a ball arresting everyone in the house! DaVinci and I spend a lot of time in jail and then Cooper comes and breaks us out, I guess you can tell who is kissing up to mommy! As for Mr. Cooper, he is about to "graduate" from speach therapy. His therapist has been so pleased with his progress over the past couple of months that we are decreasing to once a month with hopes that we will be released from the program in April!! Stay tuned for more details to make sure we graduate :)
AJ has been learning about seasons and weather and is anxiously awaiting snow so that he can make snow angels, the little things in life that make us so happy!

Well I hope everyone is having a great new year and GO RAVENS!!

Three very sleepy boys on New Years Eve!
