Christmas

Bathtime fun!

My sweet boys.

Twas the night before Christmas.....

Gotta have a big wheel when you are a little boy. We have already had races down the hall.

Merry Belated Christmas everyone! I hope everyone else had as great of a Christmas as we did. There is no denying that Santa visited our house from the giant piles of cardboard sitting at the curb today for our recycling pick up! What a fun year this one was. I actually beat AJ waking up so I caught him on video coming down the stairs and asking all kind of questions about Santa's arrival. Then it dawned on him that there might just be presents...then it was all over. Lucky for us Cooper and daddy came down shortly so that everyone could open presents. Normally in the past I feel like it is total chaos in our house because we have lots of family come over to help us celebrate but this year it was much more relaxed and I actually found myself being able to sit down and play with my kids, what a great day!

To top off a fun holiday we got a visit from Aunt Tiffany and Uncle Eric. What a great way to end our holiday celebration.

Hope everyone has a Happy New Year!

Pictures, pictures, pictures!!!

Here are some pictures from the past month. AJ has been up to lots at Pre-K. AJ has a starring role of Joseph in his Christmas Pagent on Friday and it is too bad I forgot to turn the microphone on the video camera because it was priceless! They sang a couple of songs, said a couple of prayers and then got to have a feast. I have been very impressed with all the knowledge he has come home with over the past couple of months and he received a very impressive report card.

We had a playdate/babysitting adventure with our friends Kendall and Camryn, where we learned girls are very different than boys! There was lots of screaming about dog kisses and changing of clothing because of getting dirty, but all in all we all survived.

Our colds are going away for the time being and are anxiously awaiting Santa and all of our family to come and visit for Christmas. Hope everyone has a great holiday and enjoys the pictures.

Sick, sick, sick

I love the fall/winter because of the cool air and the holidays but I hate it because I know that it means sick kids. AJ has been struggling with a nasty cough for a couple of days so there has been lots of breathing treatments going on in the house. Then right when we thought Cooper was well, he woke up Friday night with Croup. The doctor does not believe this is at all related to his previous sickness it is just bad luck. So steroids and lots of humidifiers for him.
I sure hope the groundhog sees spring early this year!

A good day and a bad day

A good day because.....
  • We had speech for the first time in 2 months (we missed quite a few appts because of the hospital) and Mrs. April was so surprised at Coopers progress from the last time she saw him. He is actually combining 2 and 3 words together and using them appropriately! Mom and I had noticed in the hospital that he was really starting to talk and then in the middle of having blood drawn one time he yelled out, "Leave me alone!" Imagine my face, the child that barely said one syllable words yells out a timely 3 word sentence. We still need to work on his pronunciation but that will come. AJ is getting into trouble more and more because Cooper can now tell on him. Like right now in the bathtub I keep hearing, "Mommy AJ bite!" Music to my ears, well sorta :)
  • We went to the doctor today and she was extremely happy with the amount of air that is moving through his lung and as long as his blood work (also today) comes back good she doesn't want to see us back unless we have a problem. So hopefully no more chest x-rays or check ups.
  • Also Cooper is back up to his pre-hospital weight of 30 pounds!! I could tell because he has his ever so cute cheeks back.

And the bad.... the stomach virus has hit our household, so everyone stay away! :(
